Year 8 Retreat
Year 8 students participated in a retreat day on Tuesday 28th January.
The theme was based on how we can live our faith through generosity. The day started with a fantastic talk from sister Una, who gave an insight into her own personal faith journey and life experiences. This was then followed by a small prayer service with Candles lit for each form class to represent the faith of Christ leading them on their faith journey .
Throughout this day they completed three workshops, called let's talk, let’s create, let’s meditate. These workshops allowed students to participate in creative activities such as making a collage to explore how faith and generosity are evident in the wider world. They were also led in meditation to give them an opportunity of quiet reflection away from the stress and business of everyday life.
The day ended with them returning to their form classes and completing their second Ursuline student profile booklet which enabled them to reflect on the ways they are able to show faith and generosity in their lives as year 8 students.
A fun and reflective day was had by all.
